Course Web design

Immediately after passing the interview and enrollment, the student starts preparing for studies. As a first homework assignment, the student receives literature and links to video lessons, with which he will be acquainted before the start of the course.

Let’s start to get acquainted with the Design Process, go through all its stages. Starting with the Business Interview, and ending with the presentation of the prototype to the client. In the process of working on the project, we will also analyze the principles of user experience design, try to understand the user, his interaction with the interface and create a comfortable product based on this. In this module we will go through the basic basics of visual design: building a composition, working with color and grid, typography. At the end of the module, we will assemble our work into a clickable prototype, prepare presentation materials, and defend our work in front of the client.

The second project will be a mobile application. Let’s deal with the iOS & Android guidelines. Let’s find out what is the difference in user experience on different devices. We will learn how to connect users to your product using gamification. We will also touch on the topic of animation of interaction with the interface. We finish the module by preparing layouts for release in app stores as well as a familiar demo for the client.

In the third module, we will work on a large Enterprise product with several types of users and different tasks for each of them. The module begins with more advanced UX techniques, then we will analyze the psychology of human perception. We will conduct the first user interviews to better understand the problem, learn how to process survey results and draw high-quality conclusions based on them. We will also learn how to work in design teams and divide tasks. Working on this project, we will deal with tables, calendars, forms and other elements of high-load systems. At the end of the module, we will study the product design metrics on the basis of which we can evaluate our work.

The last module will be devoted to your thesis on one of the proposed socially significant topics. During this project, we will learn how to conduct Design Sessions and Brainstorms and Design Hackathons.

The final part of the training will be based on pro design elements: animation, pro-techniques, designing in multi-discipline teams, HTML basics, etc. Particular attention will be paid to the creation of a portfolio, the presentation of your ideas and projects, Business English and advices from a career specialist. Students will create a third project for a real customer.

In parallel with the main training, students will be able to attend master classes and workshops with invited speakers, as well as in non-academic times use our space to work on their projects.
